Voting on graffiti in Bristol

Graffiti: art or filthy? It is a never ending debate. The council of Bristol (UK) has plans for an online vote on the website**. Using pictures of graffiti, the public chooses which wall will and won’t be cleaned, reports **The Guardian** today. The conservative art critic Brian Sewell has already cracked the idea: **“The two words ‘graffiti’ and ‘art’ should never be put together.”

The plan has formed after the much discussed and well-attended exhibition of street artist Banksy in the Bristol Museum. Not that the Town of Bristol now declares love to graffiti. **Policy** is to remove illegal messages in the outdoor area within five days, if it has a racist flavor to it within two days.
