Saturdy, 8 June – The first half of the second day of the Volvo Art Session at Zurich’s Main Station was orchestrated by the Polish artists ETAM Cru. Their witty concept of transforming the new Volvo XC60 into a veritable soapbox cart by means of illustrations and painting was enthusiastically received by young and old alike. The manner in which the wheels of the Art Car simultaneously operated as those of the painted wooden racer was testimony to the duo’s outstanding artistic skill. The gauche figure of the soapbox cart’s pilot had the effect of evoking childhood memories amongst members of the audience. Volvo Art Session is an art project of Volvo Car Switzerland.
