Tarlabasi is a poor neighborhood, near Taksim Square in Istanbul - Turkey, that is almost abandoned. This is because the government wants to demolish for new construction. The poor, especially Kurds, are thus forced to leave their beloved district. There are only a few who keep their heads up and stay in this old city district as long as they can. While exploring the whole neighborhood, the people were so friendly that I wanted to give them something back instead of putting my own name up again and again.
