Amsterdam Street Art

It was about time Amsterdam would be getting it’s own respectable street art festival, and it seems that the time is now! A bunch of young artists, fans and entrepenours have grouped together to give amsterdam it’s first street art week, starting the 8th of june 2010. The event will feature The London Police, Pez, Nol, Orticanoodles, Hugo Kaagman, Fake, FarkFK, Galo, Ives.One, Bushit, Flying Fortress, Chase, Bue The Warrior, K74, Recal One, Indigo and Faunagraphic. That means the US, canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Italy will all be represented in this amazing event.

Seeing Fairey in action through a large-scale wheatpasting, we also take a look into Fairey’s background behind the May Day show at Deitch Projects as well as his involvement with his clothing label OBEY.

GHOST Exhibition @ We Are Related, Denmark Recaps

We Are Related Gallery is thrilled to present the graffiti legend Ghost, NYC and his first exhibition in Denmark. Ghost was born in the Bronx New York in the mid 60’s. In the graffiti world he is known and infamous for his humorous and ground breaking paintings as well as the iconic “GH” throw up on and around the NYC subway system. His colorful and satirical drawings and paintings are often celebrating underground comics and poster artists such as Rick Griffin, but with added elements of an LSD nightmare.
