Police said the culprit’s punishment was “swift and apt”

A man who sprayed graffiti on an Okehampton wall has been ordered to remove it.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the 22-year-old man was caught in the act by staff at an office in the town on Saturday afternoon. After admitting the offence, he was fined £80 and given specialist cleaning equipment to remove the paint. “Wanton damage such as this is an eyesore and effects everyone in the community,” Pc Matt Evans said.
